In advanced diabetic foot infections where tissue death (wet gangrene) or chronic bone infection (osteomyelitis) is irreversible, surgical amputation becomes necessary. However, our primary clinical goal at Dariyansh Clinic is limb salvage and maximum joint preservation, ensuring the patient retains mobility.

Our Conservative Surgical Philosophy

• Limb-Preserving Resection: We perform conservative amputations, removing only the dead or severely infected parts (such as a single toe, ray resection, or transmetatarsal amputation) while preserving maximum healthy foot tissue.
• Wound Bed Preparation: Ensuring the remaining margins are clean, vascularized, and free of infection to allow primary or secondary healing.
• Functional Restoration: Shaping the residual foot structure carefully to enable weight-bearing, shoe modifications, and future prosthetic use, helping patients walk again.

Critical Timely Intervention

Timely conservative amputation halts the spread of life-threatening systemic infection (sepsis) and prevents the need for major above-knee or below-knee amputations, providing a functional, salvaged limb.
