Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix, a small finger-shaped pouch connected to the large intestine. It causes sharp, severe pain that starts around the navel and shifts to the lower right abdomen. Appendicitis is a surgical emergency: if the appendix is not removed promptly, it can burst (rupture), spilling bacteria into the abdominal cavity and causing peritonitis, a life-threatening infection.
At Dariyansh Clinic, we perform emergency laparoscopic appendicectomy. Through three micro-ports, the surgeon locates the inflamed appendix, cuts and seals its connection to the colon, and removes it safely. The abdominal cavity is flushed with sterile saline if any leakage has occurred. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia.
Keyhole surgery reduces muscle and tissue damage, resulting in minimal post-operative pain, shorter hospital stays (1 day), and rapid healing compared to traditional open appendicectomies. Patients can walk on the same evening of the surgery and resume normal diet within 24 hours.
We offer advanced daycare procedures with complete medical insurance assistance, cashless treatment facilities, and post-operative follow-up packages.
